In light of the Government Shutdown many people have the same Question.. what happens to us?
Right now, USA Mortgage is business as usual for loans that were in process. Please also continue to send your files in for Underwriting and Processing and we will add a closing condition for transcripts.
We hope that the shutdown will be short lived but that is still unknown.
We will continue to update you as we hear news or if there is a need for any immediate changes in our daily business.
What we know so far..
- USDA is offline, conditional commitments that we had received already will still be honored but future commitments will be delayed.
- FHA is still available for ordering Case Numbers, CAVIRS and limited staffing to answer questions.
- VA will continue to operate
- IRS is offline and currently NOT processing requests for 4506T’s
- SSA will not be available to verify SSN’s.
It is my opinion that a REAL good compromise would be to:
- Stop blaming each other for the shut-down since they are ALL to blame
- Delay Obamacare for one year
- Cut the budget back to Pre 9/11/2001 levels!
